COMMISSIONS

It begins with a conversation.

Before discussing colors, light, or scale, Alexandra explores what the artwork is meant to hold.

A feeling, a memory, a transition, a hope, or a new chapter often becomes the starting point for the process.

THE PROCESS

From this dialogue, Alexandra and the collector work together to define an initial color palette. Rather than selecting colors for aesthetic reasons alone, the palette emerges from the emotions, atmosphere, and meaning the painting is intended to carry.

Once the palette has been established, Alexandra begins the creative process.

Through multiple layers of movement, transparency, texture, and light, the painting gradually reveals itself. The development of the composition, layering, and artistic expression remains entirely in the artist's hands.

FINAL SHADING

Before the final layers of shading and illumination are applied, the collector is invited back into the process.

Together, artist and collector review the work and explore the final balance of depth, atmosphere, and light. This collaborative stage allows the collector to leave a personal imprint on the piece while preserving the integrity of Alexandra's artistic vision.

The result is more than a commissioned artwork.

It is a unique meeting point between artist and collector - a painting shaped by both intention and interpretation, created for one specific person, place, or story.
